• Odd network timeout problem

https://files.facepunch.com/forum/upload/1335/aebf197b-2b89-4a05-9b0d-16950b655da8/image.png Without any changes I know of I've started encountering this issue that makes it seems like my network is "slow to start up", so that programs become able to connect gradually over 15 minutes from rebooting The strange part is that it network speed itself that's sluggish, it's soaring as it should, but my machine is flat out unable to reach most -web based- content. Furthermore Firefox at least is affected by the same issue every time I shut it down and start it up again, despite all other connections working.
Not really. If that were the case I don't think it'd be linked to how recently I've booted my machine
Is your physical network adapter still connected when this happens? Could be a router/modem issue. Are on WiFi or ethernet?
Ethernet, from modem and connection center side everything looks to be working fine. Weird thing is Steam before the chat beta was able to connect and sign into friends, just not load any URL content
Have you tried statically setting your DNS to Googles? I have problems with my ISPs DNS sometimes so I just use Google for my primary. If you don't know it already Google DNS is 8.8.8.8
Also, is your IP set statically on this PC? Or any other device on your network? If you haven't set a DHCP reservation on the router, it may be handing out a conflicting IP because it doesn't know its already being used.
