“While we did not find that these decisions were the result of political bias on Comey’s part, we nevertheless concluded that by departing so clearly and dramatically from FBI and department norms, the decisions negatively impacted the perception of the FBI and the department as fair administrators of justice,” Inspector General Michael Horowitz said in the report’s conclusions, which were obtained by Bloomberg News.
Yeah no, when Comey does it, because it was looking into Crooked Hitlery, he wasn't politically biased at all, even though his actions fucked everything up in the 2016 election, that useless idiot. Yet when Mueller is doing the same thing, it's suddenly "fake news" and a "witch hunt". Just admit he fucked up and his actions helped put a walking talking pinocchio understudy into office.
Well yeah, he wasn't biased. He was just being pushed by certain members of Congress to do unusual things and then those same members of Congress turned around and used that to make a political scandal.
There's no doubt in my mind that he wasn't biased, that's obvious to me. The man has a huge sense of integrity - perhaps to a fault.
I struggle to dislike Comey but he did fuck up.

Didn't he say a few months ago that he didn't want to compromise Clinton's election chances with launching and then throwing that probe? Honestly, I never felt like Comey had much integrity. The man comes over to me as some untrustworthy weasel trying to get leverage over as much people in power as possible. Thus he did what he did leading up to the election, thought himself as some master schemer, only to probably figure out after pulling off said scheme that it made him a fired man walking no matter who would win the elections. Whoever goes and pretend that Clinton wouldn't have fired him if she'd won, is just fooling themselves, he'd get sacked for ''endangering her turn'' and ''improper conduct'' if that were to happen. And given how Comey apparently decided to use his personal e-mail for FBI investigative matters while supposedly investigating improper conduct regarding confidential matters over personal e-mails, everyone would have legitimate reasons to fire the weasel flat on his arse as soon as the opportunity arose.

I think there is a subtle political bias in general when it comes to the FBI because generally, it is staffed by republicans. We know now that both campaigns were under investigation during the 2016 election but at the time, only the Clinton campaign was made public. Why did the FBI respond differently when it came to investigating Trump?
Yeah, Congressional Republicans pressured Comey, then released the letter he sent them as a result of their pressure. It was entirely willful on their part.
