Threatening economic growth?
Is this the headline we need these days to have companies actually take some action?
People in already dry countries are gonna be dying of thirst long before the first of the biggest companies even start struggling.
The people that are already dying from climate change are in places that the industries most responsible for it have no business in, so of course they aren't going to care. The instant that their cashflow is threatened, however, then they might take action. Though the ones responsible will stand to lose from mitigating climate change, and that is how you get modern American politics on the matter that threaten the well-being of the entire world and oh god please just sanction us already do something to get them to act holy FUCK
