Worth mentioning that those constant moans and falling off of shit were justified by the lead dev who claimed it was a conscious design decision to get male players to care and to make them want to protect Lara.
Looking forward to the new game which will have lara smearing mud on herself and brutally murdering guards for an hour before pausing to cry over the body of a rabbit she had to kill in a cutscene.

Ive only seen a little bit of the current Lara but she seems so boring. Its just looks like that same kind of super serious melodrama sad girl type character thats been happening a lot recently.
To be honest, in Last of Us one, the executions and murder were quite brutal, and sometimes you did kill people who weren't exactly bad, just looking to survive, just like you did.
If anything, if Ellie was raised by Joel after the events of the first game, there's no way Ellie is a normal woman. You can even see it in the trailer for part 2 where she acts almost like an uncaring sociopath. She just murders people and doesn't even think twice about it.
Man I miss old cheeky Lara from Tomb Raider 1 - 3, she was just a ton of fun as a character and don't really get the recognition she deserves, most people just focus on her tits and kinda write her of because of that. Old Tomb Raider where just really fun Indiana Jones style adventures, the new ones take themselves way to seriously.
It's like the writers thought that Lara's snark was badly written and replaced it with the character going through a struggle, and mistook a character going through a struggle as proper character development.
