when i load into a modded (build) server i cannot play on it for longer than 3-5 minutes before i get kicked cause an error message: ''object reference not set to an instance of an object''
play on vanilla lol
im gonna play on vanilla but its smart to know what base ur gonna build before u just hop on and make a base that gets raided after 1 day cause the design is bad :P
I would actually like to know what those errors are about, doesn't happen every time, but I get really confused as to what it provokes it
Have you verified your game files and is Steam up to date ?. This error usually occurs when someone is trying to use something that does not exist on a server, Make sure you are playing on a server that is using the same build as you are, Most servers update on the day of the update release but some are a little slow or are deliberately using an older version for their game style.
Start a server on your local. Only you can connect to it. Build what you want. EZ.
I don't have any answers to your question. However I've heard others complaining about the same error and how they get kicked when they get that message. Yet I get that message regularly and yet never been kicked. Had them on almost all the servers I've played on this year when they started happening. I have two accounts, my main one is a regular player. My admin account can have that error scrolling up my console when I teleport into a base with a lot of skins for instance. Love to know what is causing it. Hit F7 and reported.
the game files is steam up to date yes. ive been having this problem for about a month now, prbly since the new update came out.
i also get the error message on my own hosted server, but only after i modded myself so that might have something with the error aswell https://files.facepunch.com/forum/upload/1694/01185202-e13a-4c95-9727-909c57461d46/image.png
