History has proven that the M60 isn't the best tank, but that doesn't matter to me. It's my favorite tank.

I really like how this gun looks. Super futuristic and sci fi looking and it's kind of a shame it didn't take off just for purely a e t h e s t i c reasons.

It's certainly a beautifully tanky tank.
Last thread we were talking about things with the same designations, there was the P-38 and M16, but how could we forget everyone's favourite, M1?

The way those work is very clever. Inside the cartridge there's a piston behind the bullet, when the cartridge detonates, instead of the explosion propelling the bullet it pushes on the piston, which in turn kicks the bullet out the barrel. The piston stays inside the case, so it seals the explosion and prevents any gas or flash from escaping.

Russian Namer-like concept based on the T-72 chassis
Роботы наступают
Must have a pretty low muzzle velocity. It's powered by an instantaneous kick rather than expanding gas, after all.
Probably acceptable trade-off considering it's role though.

Nothing says "AWB legal" quite like a magazine well full of epoxy putty.
Is this BA-10's idiot cousin?

right arm of the free world
Isn't that a fake FAL tho?
South African made FAL in the hands of Rhodesian forces. Not exactly fake since it's officially licensed and made to original spec, it's just violently racist.
A FAL is a FAL, no such thing as a fake FAL. Unless it's some sort of FAL-looking rifle that isn't a FAL.
It's a FAL-lacy
I'd argue it's a bit different there. The L1 and C1 FALs are inch pattern, standard FALs are metric. As a result the stocks, lowers, magazines, extractors, firing pins, muzzle devices, and top covers do not interchange. So it's more like saying an AKS-74U isn't an AK. You're still right, but it's a bit more difference than just golfball plastic.

The HK53a3 is pretty damn cool
Oh it was licensed? I thought South Africa copied the design to sell to the Rhodesians, my mistake.
