• Laser, Plasma, or Ballistic?

Ballistic myself. I always go stealth builds so a silencer is a must.
Lasers. Just lasers.
Ballistic all the way. I didn't even pull out a Plasma gun on my first playthrough of Fallout 4, even though Plasma is def cooler than lasers.
If there are cheaper alternatives to energy weapons for early game I would go for them but otherwise ballistics
EXPLOSIVES
If we're going there... UNARMED
I've never done an unarmed run through in any Bethesda game. What's that like?
machetes
For the joke: Where are my point-ed sticks? The training sergeant gave me a mutfruit.
Nut
I'm turned off by that in 3/NV because I would have to get close to centaurs.
LASERS, PLASMA, PISTOLS, GRENADES in that order. MAKE A BRIEF STOP AT THE ATOMIC WRANGLER
Depends on the target.
works well in skyrim. i've never actually played skyrim with weapons, only khajiit unarmed heavy armor build. there is perks for it in fallout but i don't find it that effective since a lot of enemies use ranged weapons.
HUNGRY? THIRSTY? HORNY?
depends on the game, "Unarmed" is actually better than melee in New Vegas if you get the right power fist.
I always loved plasma in all Fallout games. Turning enemies to goo is so satisfying, especially in F1/2.
Well, it depends on what you're shooting now, doesn't it? I try and use lasers against ghouls and supermutants, but I probably use ballistic weapons more frequently (the fully upgraded Deliverer is pretty goddamn beastly, and silenced too).
I liked ballistic because pipe waepons and 10mm guns look cool, and shotguns are goretastic
ballistics if only because of the multitude of ammo types in F:NV probably one of my favorite features of that game compared to the other ones
The Plasma Combat Rifle in Fo4 Horizon is beastly. I don't think I've met anything I couldn't kill with it inside a mag. They do ~50 damage at base, split between energy and ballistic. With Horizon's weapon & ammo crafting system, you can create "Fiery Plasma Cartridges" that add significant burning damage at relatively minor cost to capacity and other damage types, and also create versions that add poison or cryo damage, in addition to inflated base stats. In vanilla, one of my favourite weapons was a Legendary explosive Plasma scattergun. Deathclaws in two shots. I also found a Legendary Combat Rifle that did plasma damage and it was just OP as fuck. I'm a plasma boi for sure, but in most iterations of the game they've been the most expensive to run. Lasers are cool, but really underpowered. I liked the concept of the Laser RCW in NV but it just didn't cut it statistically. In Fo4 they feel and sound great, but again simply don't put out enough damage.
Yeah, I usually don't go for energy weapons, but one of my favorite characters rolls with LT_C's DKS sniper rifle with the plasma legendary, and that plus Cross Crit Gore Overhaul makes for awesomely melted super mutant skeletons.
i never understood why noone made a mod for new vegas that adds more special ammunition for energy weapons that goes beyond "does more damage but damages your weapon more" I for one would've loved special energy cells that added an armor piercing value to your shots or maybe microfusion cells that would instead make your shots split like some laser shotgun that did insane damage up close, has anyone been able to mod in new ammo types for fallout 4 yet like armor piercing or hollow point?
NV already has a laser and plasma shotgun though
I was more thinking a super "literally just shit lasers all over your enemies point blank but incredibly inaccurate" type laser, while tri-beam and multiplas both multiply the initial laser shitting by 3, basically instakilling anything less than a deathclaw point blank.
Ballistic, 'cause it renforces the "Post-nuclear war Western" kind of feeling I like to enforce in my Fallout games
Ballistic. To the point, SHOTGUNS! And a full-auto assault rifle. Long barrel, silencer for even longer barrel, and a long stock(I am a sucker for long guns).
Gauss the YCS/186 is my baby
Always preferred ballistic because I like the idea of propelling slugs of lead to destroy stuff, lasers always felt like they missed a punch and plasma is just green goobs. Revolvers are the best, I like my big irons
Ballistic, what gets the point across better than 7.62 and .45 to the face
