I would love to see this plan go so far that Star Wars evolves into this weird secret society, where the movies become SO exclusive that they never release to the general public, and only people with hundreds of dollars to spend on each movie end up going to see them, or pay some kind of thousands-of-dollars-a-year premium membership fee to be allowed into the Star Wars Aristocracy, the only people authorized to be the keepers of the Star Wars lore.
And the general public continues to care less and less.
So like what happened to Star Trek in Futurama?
