It's mostly confusing for some us like you and me.
And rating alerts are not part with new notification.
also getting 2 notifications every time i get a reply.
That's always been an issue I've noticed.

I think Patrick may have been referring to an issue that cropped up last night (though I haven't seen it yet today) where you'd get multiple "X replied to thread" notifications.
Since the change I can't even read the alerts, it just loads indefinitely lol.

I'm baffled as to why this change was even made. Seriously, what was wrong with the old setup?
I honestly prefer it that way, you keep everything in one place. Maybe I'm not subscribed to enough threads or something but I like keeping it together.
It's a totaly mess when you're subscribed to enough things. I'm subscribed to SH, Polidicks, the programming subforum, and {{Meta}} for new threads (around 25-40 new threads per day) as well as enough threads to get around the same amount of new post notifications. The notifications pane for some reason has a limit on how many notifications it can display. Even on a good day I literally can't see all of my notifications at once.
