I like the way the Mutton Man looks with the Punk's Pomp but I don't know if I should go with After Eight or black. I'm thinking black for a greaser look.

The Team Captain is probably one of the best hats on Heavy (as well as Soldier). It works so well and is so unfettered by themeing that realistically, any loadout you like could work.

Guys, I've been faced with a bit of a dilemma. Which of these miscs should I use for my Soldier loadout?

The Hornblower's gold trim fits perfectly with the Tyrant's Helm, and it was what I was using before I crafted the FDU. However, the FDU has a simple "early TF2" charm that I really like. I also crafted it, giving it some sentimental value.
Rate Good Idea for the Hornblower, or Late for the FDU. The fate of my fashion lies in your hands, people of the thread!

Do what I do when I'm stuck between two cosmetics I love more or less equally; use them in different loadouts. I've got separate loadouts for things like Offensive/Defensive and sub-classes like Demoknight and Cart Heavy, all with different cosmetic sets, just so I get to play dress up as much as possible

Not rendered is the hot case on my pyro. The polar bear on my heavy I've heard is kind of iffy to some people, but I had it so I thought I might as well use it.
I honestly like that Heavy loadout. it's always nice to see creative loadouts on him sicne he's so limited with his good-looking cosmetics.

Didn't think of that, thanks for the idea. Would you apply any paints or just leave it like that?
Either works. Since the paint on the Megalomaniac affects the side of the goggles (the red bit in my post), you can easily leave as-is, or go for a paint of your choosing.
