[t]http://imgkk.com/i/aqgv.png[/t] WHAT GAMES ARE THESE? These are the main and most popular Paradox Interactive games buddy. Here's a link to each one, and helpful mods as well: Europa Universalis 4 (1444 - 1821 AD) (Top left of above picture) http://store.steampowered.com/app/236850/ Victoria 2 (Bottom left of above picture) (1836 - 1936 AD) http://store.steampowered.com/app/42960/ Crusader Kings 2 (Top center of above picture) (1066 - 1453 AD) (769 AD start date with Charlemagne DLC) http://store.steampowered.com/app/203770/ Hearts of Iron 3 (Bottom center of above picture) (1936 - 1948 AD) http://store.steampowered.com/app/25890/ Hearts of Iron 4 (Top right) (1936 - 1948 AD) http://store.steampowered.com/app/394360/ Stellaris (Bottom right) (Idk the future or something) http://store.steampowered.com/app/281990/ ARE THERE ANY OTHERS? Here are the other games, which are less popular, and some of which are more experiments than full games. That doesn't stop them from being fun though. http://store.steampowered.com/app/73210/ (Basically Crusader Kings 2 inside Japan, has no content don't buy it) http://store.steampowered.com/app/73170/ (It's essentially Hearts of Iron 2, but reworked) http://store.steampowered.com/app/23420/ (A really weird one set in the Roman Empire, that nobody plays) http://store.steampowered.com/app/227760/ (March of the Eagles, Napoleonic wars) ANY FUTURE ONES? There's also a bunch of new games coming up (not really): Imperator: Rome East vs West (Hearts of Iron 3 for the Cold War) CANCELED GOOD NIGHT SWEET PRINCE HOW DO I PLAY THE GAME? Each game plays differently. Play through all the tutorials that the game supplies (you can skip the broken parts), read the manuals, and go through the wikis on Paradoxian. Then play through a game. It's alright if you lose, as long as you learn from your mistakes. If you're at a loss, then you can ask in this thread. WHICH NATION FIRST? Crusader Kings 2: Anywhere in Ireland or Denmark. Play as a duke. Europa Universalis 4: Castille, France, England, Ottomans Victoria II: Prussia, Netherlands, USA, Japan, or Canada. Hearts of Iron 3: Germany, Italy, Japan, USA. Hearts of Iron 4: Ditto You might think that choosing a really small or really big nation will save you from getting buttfucked. Nope! You'll just get overwhelmed, and then other countries will annex you since you have no idea what to do.  WHICH GAME DO I GET FIRST? EU4 and CK2 are both newbie friendly to the series, Every HoI before 4 has a steep learning curve but don't let that discourage you can start with whatever game interests you. WHY DOESN'T MY GAME LOOK GOOD? If you're playing Europa Universalis 4 or CK2, you probably need a map border mod or map texture mod. WHERE CAN I GET MODS? WHY CAN'T I SEE THE MOD FORUMS? WHERE CAN I GET THE LATEST BETA PATCH? Check the games page linked earlier for popular /gsg/ mods, or head over to the Paradox Forums. Make an account and register your games or you won't be able to access the mod and tech support forums. The tech support forums have the latest beta patches, so if Steam is acting up if you want to try the latest beta, head over there. Usually, the beta patches are available on the games page You need your CD key to register your game. If you're having trouble, there's usually a help guide on how to register on every subforum. WHAT ARE SOME POPULAR MODS? Hearts of Iron 3:  Historical Plausibility Project (HPP) BlackICE (BICE) August Storm Crusader Kings 2:  CK2 Plus Historical Immersion Project CK2 A Game of Thrones Elder Kings Europa Universalis 4: Extended Timeline mod MEIOU and Taxes (Really good) Commun Universalis Extended Vanilla Experience Victoria 2: POP Demand Modern Age Mod Divergences of Darkness New Nations Mod Code Geass Mod Vicky Mod /gsg/ Mod WHERE CAN I GET THEM? You can get most Paradox games on Steam, as well as their expansions and DLC. If you don't like Steam, or it doesn't have the game you're looking for, then try other places like Gamersgate, Amazon or even physical local retailers such as Gamespot or even Walmart. We have a steam group as well, if you wanna join it. Asking some of the players (including me) might help with your queries too. http://steamcommunity.com/groups/facepunchparadox If I missed anything or need to change something, yell at me to change the OP.
I managed to rack up 700 hours on HOI4 in less than a year but since the Cornflakes I can't find myself playing it anymore. Maybe it's just me but the changes have not been that enjoyable for gameplay.
Feels really nice to have the team of your favorite mod listen to, and implement your suggestion. Bonus points because it involved opening a dialogue with another modder and his creation, and seeing if he would be willing to let it be adapted to a different mod. Put my never shut's the fuck up trait to good use. https://files.facepunch.com/forum/upload/110097/ec9e7a0e-dd7c-4b4b-8ff9-f07ea9a30965/image.png I may not be good for much, but I'd like to think myself a hell of a good ideas man for what that is worth!
Well? What idea and what mod are you talking about? You can't leave us hanging man!
I’ve this mod up for some time now, perhaps some of you guys would like it. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1223822935
Just jumped back into Stellaris - the changes the made since last playing are phenomenally awesome.
It's nothing major, just a new religion for CK2's After the End. Specifically it's an adapted version of the Celtic faith from Ancient Religions Reborn. Still pretty cool to have tossed an idea out there and see it implemented.
Some new info for various DLCs coming down the road What’s next for Crusader Kings 2, EUIV and Hearts of Iron IV DLC..
They better add mines or that'd be a huge waste of a naval dlc.

What the shit is up with this tech-level. https://files.catbox.moe/5mgwep.png YOTL 1806 and Greek Rebels have mere Medieval Knight units. Native Americans are better equipped than these boyos.
Finally grabbed HOI 4.
They obviously just rummaged through a museum and grabbed whatever wasn't nailed down
Anyway, w/e, first game, done. https://i.redd.it/l4epg9bgnh511.png
You know, I don't think I've ever actually played an EU game to the end date. Even after playing the games for a decade I either get bored before I get there and start a new game or the game updates and breaks my save.

This has to be one of my favourite things to come out of the community https://www.reddit.com/r/Stellaris/comments/8tav4d/in_a_galaxy_thats_dark_and_full_of_news_you_need/
So I used a cheat mod to usurp the papacy, and it uh, didn't kick me to game over? https://files.facepunch.com/forum/upload/108621/b26689de-dc5e-41b6-8d5d-2d6b794933cc/image.png
I broke the papacy so much that it became an hereditary title https://files.facepunch.com/forum/upload/108621/ee182d21-e3a3-461f-be67-9b7ea1b0d820/image.png
https://forum.paradoxplaza.com/forum/index.php?threads/imperator-development-diary-5-25th-of-june-2018.1107368/ I'm two days late, but whatever. https://forum.paradoxplaza.com/forum/index.php?threads/eu4-development-diary-26th-of-june-2018.1107566/
Y'know, given how much more substantial the expansions announced at PDXCon seem to be compared to their predecessors, I wonder if all the complaints about Paradox's DLC Policy ended up causing some changes after all.
damn i wanna bang the pope now

I am going to shamelessly plug the mod I'm part of the team for here, basically Edward's Abdication Crisis gone to shit, feel free to join us over on our discord (link In comments section) if any of this appeals to you! https://www.reddit.com/r/hoi4/comments/8v488i/1938_a_very_british_civil_war_progress_report_3/
Oh hey, I forgot the AVBCW setting was a thing.
Thanks! And here's another TNO thing, we've added in culture donated from the End of a New Beginning mod, as part of our "be more like Vicky 2" program that started with the laws system. https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/455866490629914645/462781781666430976/state.png And here's another one, of Ferdinand Schorner, who can coup Goering in the German Civil War if the nation falls to anarchy https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/455866490629914645/462791932511256576/20180630200658_1.png
So wait what happens if he wins?
The DSR (insane Communist Nazi Germany) is the evil version of Speer, he is the evil version of Goering.
