I already made a mistake with Splatoon characters, help me not make a stupid mistake like that again.
You mean the "What are you working on" section? What particular post are you referring too?
I mean the "Stuff you've created" section under the GMod tab. I made this: Back in the 80's. and learned my lesson. Also I need to get better i suck ass when it comes to posing in GMod man.
whats wrong with Splatoon characters
you can post whatever you've created, doesn't stop people from critiquing it. and if you wanna get better, listen to the critique you receive and apply it.
There was nothing wrong with your picture, it's just that people are used to think anything having to do with Splatoon has to do with a loli fetish. Don't let that get to you, they're being idiots.
I know and I respect Critique., It's just that i don't wanna be associated with a fetish or stereotype.
Critique had nothing to do with just Splatoon. Critique had to do with flat ass lighting, lack of any shading and general drabness/wtf is the context of this theme. You've got the basic premise: a tron/"vidya gaem"esque grid pattern and The Automobile of Male Mid-Life Crisis, except it's Back To The Future.. there's an asston of 80s penis mobiles on the workshop but you chose a very specific context to evoke along with some nintendo characters because reasons? Por Que. This picture is a mess. I've got a pseudo "80s" backdrop except it's associated more with the mid 90s than 80s, an 80s movie car and two completely incongruous protagonists to tie it all together.... into what exactly. Is this a video game, is this an action adventure movie, is this characters esaping the switch and time traveling to tron, wtf am I looking at here, I got nothing, no cues, no moods, no nada. You're also off center, completely ignoring the rule of threes/thirds, and there no sense of depth because there's no multi point lighting, and there's ton of tutorials to cover that stuff in the section. All of this is fixable, and if you're gonna be the "splatoon guy" they should have reason to be in the picture.
Then you'll have to improve your overall quality when posing and taking pictures. It doesn't really matter what characters are in the picture, but you have to have a clear idea of what it is you're making and how you want it to look.
So you're saying that the fact that you walk around with buckets of paint is just because you're really passionate about decorating? We know your secret.
