It's from the person who made these:

This looks pretty interesting, kind of like a spiritual successor to LSD: Dream Emulator
Wow they super improved their "If X was in 1998" series.
Okay, I tried it and I don't recommend it.
It's a pretty standard indie horror game circa 2012-2013. Virtually no mechanics, you just progress through the levels and "creepy stuff" happens.
Except in this game it's tank controls, and exceptionally slippy and muddy ones too, because it's a PS1 game, get it?
I sort of rage quit after 30 minutes, I'll try getting back to it, but I'm 99% sure it'll be a waste of time
I think the way the game's pacing just ends up tanking towards the end was part of the whole narrative of life dragging on, becoming more and more tiring and monotonous, as vices begin to pile up and depression sets in until the game is practically begging you to just end it already.
It's a drag, but it has some purpose to it.
Fuck the maze though.
How to make a game look old.
Pixelate it. (Not to be confused by running it at a low resolution)
Make the controls look really shit, like everything is a tank.
You have now made a YouTube series on what modern games would be like (apparently) if they were made back in the day.
It's not as simple as that. At least in regards to OK/NORMAL he's specifically trying to emulate the PS1's graphics.
It's on the store page for the game but for instance he uses Affine Texture Mapping:

And vertex snapping (the reason why polygons seem to morph around):
