Wait, charged him? His church has a religious court. Sounds pretty similar to this one specific conservative talking point...
It's just a name but I want to point out Sessions's first and middle names (Beauregard) were picked after Confederate president Davis and the general that shelled Fort Sumter, the first battle of the Civil War.
Wouldn't that point to them just being common names at the time?
No, according to Jeff Sessions the second, Jeff Sessions the first was specifically named after two of the most infamous traitors in US history.
Or if instead of Sessions it was Hitler
Hitler wasn't a traitor, though. He was a fuckton of bad things, but I think you'll have a hard time finding treason among them. Unlike Trump, Sessions, Davis and Beauregard.
Methodists ain't too fond of his methods. :raise:

To say Hitler didn't du nothin treasonous is like saying Benedict Arnold only enacted a business transaction with the British. Difference is, people were so charged or empathetic that it wasn't clear to them that it was treason, or if it was it was warped into being a patriotic act to save the country. I am afraid that is the route the US is headed, where clear crimes are swept under the rug because the other side and stuff.
Okay you're 100% right I'm a complete moron who forgot how he got to power in the first place.
Well, if we wanna be technical: Hitler was never a traitor to the United States since he never even resided in US jurisdiction. Basically when it comes to being named after traitors, Sessions could only be worse if his last name were Lee, Arnold, Reagan, or Trump.
