Not my best work, I don't really make gameplay videos anymore because I find the process a little draining, especially if the game is boring. I love making videos of games that allow unfiltered player interaction, which is why I enjoyed Savas Island for a small amount of time.
Just wanna hopefully reach and entertain some of you with this (and the other) video(s).
Made this one in particular like two days after Christmas last year. Wanted to be more consistent with the uploads but I'm usually too preoccupied with other creative ventures (music, art, writing). Hopefully I can at least make someone chuckle.
Well hats off to you for making a video - it isn't any small feat.
The format it displayed in was "boxy" as it played in like 4:3 aspect ratio.
I prefer videos with at least some plot line rather than random fights tagged together. I am not saying scripted, but intro, task, journey and end.
I liked the way you did the "Seinfeld" opening screen but found the R word offensive. I am not a prude, but the R, C, and N words really detract from the viewers enjoyment. Bleep them, implied can sometimes be more enjoyable as the viewer participates in the video by mentally inserting a word themselves.
Sound volumes were good through out the video.
Music is always probably the hardest thing to do in a video such as this. As a musician you would know music is unspoken commentary/story telling. Matching music to what is happening often misses the mark if using existing songs. Short tunes can be used to denote repetitive events and it adds some familiarity to the viewer. Take Seinfeld for instance, the entire music for the series wouldn't be more than 30 minutes in total.
Like all the arts, it takes time to get good and a life time to get nearly perfect - don't give up. Good job I would rate it a 6/10.
Woah, that's actually a good critique. Thank you.
