Even as President of the United States, Donald isn't accepted as part of the elite and it chaps his ass so hard he can't help but complain about it to the voting public. He only enjoyed being on the campaign trail, where night after night he can attend rallies of people chanting his name, and he hates actually being President because he doesn't get to throw rallies and instead of only having to pay attention to his enthusiastic voters, he now has to contend with the actual majority of the country that hates him or at the very least does not suck his dick despite his belief that he's permanently entitled to constant ego asspats. He basically started up his 2020 re-election campaign two or three months after inauguration so it was an excuse for him to a) collect campaign fundraising (which has very likely been misused at least once already), and b) hold rallies consisting of just his supporters that make him feel strong and powerful and loved. The man wants money, an echo chamber, and to be allowed to do as he pleases more than he wants responsibility.
