That's not what I'm implying. It's about appeasing an enemy that has consistently shown they have little interest in following through with their promises.
I don't think the families separated by war really care, they'll be happy to see each other regardless.

These families have not been separated by war. They have been separated by North Korea. North Korea will not let these families reunite, and they will still not allow these families to reunite even after this. North Korea remains the most brutal dictatorship in the world (perhaps in human history). Kim Jong-Un is a vicious tyrant and murderer, and we shouldn't let our image of him change until he allows free movement, freedom of thought, freedom of speech, free elections, and free association of labor unions.
I think Human History is a stretch but pretty far up there for sure.
It feels like a stretch at first, but when you look at the worst dictators of the world, you realize that few have come close to the level of control that the Kim dynasty has over its own people. There have been more murderous regimes, sure, such as Khmer Rouge, the USSR, and Communist China, but when it comes to absolute control over an individual's life, only religious cults come close
