In theory, would it be possible to use a web-based crashscreen for restarts & stops?
It is definately possible and has been done there are plenty of paid scripts for this already
I just reread this and saw on restarts and stops the way i was mentioning above typically is when the server loses connection to other people but when you stop the server it forces everyone out its not like the server crashed ill look into this as i asked the same question let me know if you find anything
Alright, looking into it atm, let me know if you figure something out.
From clientside send pings to server and pongs from the server to client, if the player didn't receive pongs during 3-5 seconds, something went wrong and you can show your screen
Although i'm not really sure if that's what are you looking
Ah, useful information but not exactly what I was thinking of.
Rather that adding a crashscreen when I stop/restart the server.
I get the server forces the players out then, but maybe create some sort of redo of that?...
