Why are there 3 different embed formats for websites?

It seems to vary uncontrollably based on the website.
I didn't mind style #1 and #3, but #2 seems to have appeared recently and is clearly way too big. Plus it lacks any clear borders, so any text you post underneath it blends visually into the news snippet - you might not have even noticed the next I put underneath embed #2 in this post.
#3 is best since it stands out with a dark them for FP
