COLUMBUS (WCMH) -- A Columbus woman is being held on $750,000 bond after being arraigned on charges that she raped three children.
According to court documents, police received a report of possible sexual abuse on May 21, 2018, involving Griffey and three boys. Two of the victims were 11 years old and the third victim was 10 years old.
Jessica Kuhns lives next door. “Just wanting to be around kids and be sociable - I mean she’s very sociable,” Kuhns said. “A very caring person - she likes to come over and hang out with the kids and with my neighbor.”
Kuhns describes Griffey’s behavior as that of a teenager. She says Griffey acted as though she was a peer to the kids in the neighborhood. “I just feel they really influenced Rita to do something she didn’t want to do because she knew, she told me she knew, it was wrong and she shouldn’t have done it but they just kept wanting her to do what she did,” Kuhns said.
Please, rate me Bad Reading by all means, but did I just read someone blaming 10 and 11 year olds for their sexual assault?

The neighbor suggested it was the kids fault for the incident for without their influence upon her, it would never have happened. She was also described as having a natural affinity towards children in the neighborhood.

The way they are talking about her makes it seem like she might have developmental issues or something.
The double standards regarding underage rape is unbelievalbe. Any time you see an article about a female teacher raping underage male students the comments are full to the brim of "wish that was me" "where were the hot teachers where i was in school" "i can't believe he reported her". Oh and this one just takes the cake. Someone called out those comments and someone replied with "you must have been gay to not want that". The ignorance of some people makes me seethe.

nice to know that people are rightfully enraged at this horrible act and the double standards that come with a lot of people dismissing rape when it happens to men by women regardless of how or why it happens
This is probably one of the reasons that rape of underage boys is so much more common, because predators know that they'll be less likely to be reported and be less harshly punished if they are caught.
