• Receiving coins in the event log

Please remove the "received a coin" from the event log. It's really not very interesting or relevant to anything, is it?
I'd say keep the 10 coin ones cause they are usually interesting posts.
Make it optional, same as the received ratings. I want to know if I received a coin.
I dunno, its an event so it should really be displayed right? I guess it is a bit spammy though as its like, the most common event currently.
Personally I go to the event log to look at who got banned where, seeing coins there is pretty pointless. On this note, implementing personal event logs would be nice - if I see a banned user, I wanna see why (sometimes).
Do you think it'd work better as like X people received X coins with drop down functionality?
I think we should just drop coins being displayed entirely. It's just not interesting as it should be in theory.
Can Events be tuned for custom message announcements? Agree on dropping coins entirely.
Drop coins, keep diamonds.
Definitely drop coins. People get given them often so it's nothing special. It's along the same lines as "X was rated funny"
And make it so no more than one event is made for a single post, just get a drop down menu (if even that).
I cant see who got banned because dumb coin messages
The event log is a bit of a mess at the moment anyways. The time headings don't really give a clear delineation of things at all at the moment and bans are for some reason more nondescript than they previously were. Ban reason and duration don't show up. I think the event log could also do with a filtering system like the subforums have so you can filter out events you're not interested in.
To quote myself from a different thread; I don't mind those coin notifications. A great way to see if something special/interesting has happened on the forum. They really should be consolidated per post per user though to cut down on the spam. So instead of User A has given a coin to User X for his post BlaBla in Herpaderp User B has given a coin to User X for his post BlaBla in Herpaderp User C has given a coin to User X for his post BlaBla in Herpaderp User D has given a diamond to User X for his post BlaBla in Herpaderp User E has given a coin to User X for his post BlaBla in Herpaderp It should be something like User X has received 14 coins for his post BlaBla in Herpaderp Knowing who has given a coin is far less important compared to knowing that a post was given a coin. Also I think that a post that was given 10 coins by 10 different people should be considered just as special, if not more special, than a post that was given a single diamond. To further cut down on spam, a minimum threshold of for example 10 coins could be implemented before a post even shows up in the Event Log.
if they show up at all they should just be in a totally different log, and it should have a stats chart to follow along with it Who owns the most coins, who gives the most coins, who has most posts, most threads, etc. Coinonomy
