http://thehill.com/homenews/administration/393805-trump-continues-to-mock-john-mccain President Trump demanded on Sunday that Democrats “fix” immigration laws in the U.S. and pass laws to tighten the southern border. “Don’t RESIST. We are doing a far better job than Bush and Obama, but we need strength and security at the Border!” Trump tweeted. “Cannot accept all of the people trying to break into our Country. Strong Borders, No Crime!” House Republicans are attempting to pass a compromise immigration bill this week after a hardline measure failed to clear the House on Thursday. However, Trump tweeted on Friday that GOP lawmakers were "wasting their time" on immigration and that Congress should drop the issue until after the 2018 midterms. https://twitter.com/realDonaldTrump/status/1010873383087636480
On a scale of funked up things a government should not say "Don't resist" has got to be near the top..
This entire immigration thing is a load of bullshit. It's the smallest issue the country has being pushed as the root of all evil. You are a total moron if you think this has that much importance.
Just two days ago he was telling Republicans to wait until after the midterms to pass immigration reforms. Now he's demanding Democrats bend over and support whatever immigration bill Republicans being up. Dear Trump, you impulsive egotistical mantot: Fuck you and shove your authoritarian bullshit back up your own ass. Step down now while you can.
But... what about our need to have 1950s style white homogeny before that blasted Immigration and Nationality Act of 1965? Seriously though, the country has become more diverse than it ever has. Before they shut it down in the 20s I believe, it wasnt as nearly as diverse as it is today. So all this stuff is just backlash to something that is definitely never going to be undone, and I'm guessing it frustrates them or something, idk lol
Dystopian future item, “Don’t Resist”, check!
In one single tweet he validated the entire notion of Democrats calling themselves "the resistance" to signal their opposition to Trump. Also it's creepy hearing a known sexual harasser saying "don't resist".
When somebody comes to impeach you, please "don't resist."
Even Trump admits the Dems are the only ones who can fix this. Trump wants a Blue Wave
"All the economy's problems are because of the Jews!" "All of our problems are because of the Illegals!"
"Don't Resist" sounds really rape-y, President Sexual Assault.
He's just given some more details on how he wants the law 'fixed' - removing "judges and court cases" from the deportation process https://twitter.com/realDonaldTrump/status/1010900865602019329
Hey guys wouldn't it be a good idea to remove due process for immigrants? Why is everyone gasping?
I'm hopeful, but largely believe that this "Blue Wave" has been seriously overhyped. So many people I talk to seem to be under the impression that democrats are going to sweep the House and Senate, but that's just not very realistic. What advantage we had has been largely lost as people become numb to the Trump regime's machinations, lies, and abuses. Polls have once again "normalized" along traditional partisan lines. I'm pretty optimistic that we can take a narrow majority in the House of Representatives (Paul Ryan seems certain enough of that to have resigned in disgrace), but in the Senate I think it's quite likely we'll see no change in power (and indeed might even lose seats). Democrats have three times as many seats at risk there as Republicans. That's not to preach apathy: just the opposite. People are becoming so hyped about this "Blue Wave" that I fear they'll grow complacent. Now's not the time for complacency. The country is in a very, very dark place. Left-leaning voting blocks need to set aside their internal feuds and unify behind a concise and attractive platform for the moderate left.
Yeah, due process is a waste of time, in Trump's mind. Except when it comes to him, then he is due all the process, uncluding the option to unilaterally shut it down if he wants.
wtf??? dems dont want us to fix immigration??? they want our families to DIE?
America has been desperate to overhaul immigration for over a decade, but every single fucking time Republicans jam their dick into things and stop it from happening because it's perceived that it'll upset their voting base. So basically America was already falling apart in the Bush administration; in fact, using immigration as an indicator for secret racism makes it blindingly clear that permanent Republican obstructionism was the only possible response to Obama being elected. What's super retarded about this is that last year, Congress delivered Trump a bipartisan bill that traded DACA becoming law for border wall funding, giving him what he asked for -- and they did this after he said he wanted Congress to come up with a bill that would treat the Dreamers with "great heart" and that he would sign any immigration bill that Congress would send him, he had his pen and was waiting. And what did he do? He vetoed it because he wanted more from his list of border security items. They gave him a bill he asked for and he threw it back out of the pram. Stephen Miller is almost guaranteed to be to blame here. Congress is incapable of getting an immigration bill that Trump won't veto through both the House and the Senate. Any bill Trump would not veto because it gives him what he wants cannot pass the Senate. He has unreasonable demands and he's using asylum seekers, incarcerated families, and separated immigrant children (and their deported-back-to-literal-wartorn-shithole parents who are deadly afraid they'll never see their children again) as leverage to force Congress to bend to his will. That is what he's really saying when he says "don't resist". Donald Trump the legislative rapist. Congress, stop resisting, and stop crying, it'll all be over faster if you just hurry up and get this over with.
Nah, don't bother voting. Other people will do it for you!
Who needs a court system? If you break a law then you go to jail/deported period. Fair trials are overrated.
So that makes the 5th, 6th, and 8th amendments that he's tried to break now. Possibly the 1st. Any others?
This is getting really bad, one more and he gets a x3 combo multiplier on his presidency rankings
My guess is on the 13th, 14th, or 15th.
So we went from 'don't bother with immigration laws for now' to 'stop resisting you stupid poopiehead democrats' in the space of a few days. How sad is it that this isn't out of the ordinary for him?
To be fair the Republicans have been trying to get around the 15th for years now.
We are doing a far better job than Bush and Obama Don't flatter yourself, you clown.
Classic lose-lose situation. The Dems do nothing and will be blamed for the aftermath. The Dems comply and are blamed for something worse.
The thugs and criminals America needs to get rid of aren't coming from over the border, they're in the fucking White House
Stephen Miller played a key role in killing another bi-partisan immigration bill during Obama's term. They need this controversy, it's their enemy at the gates, and they won't stop until the borders are closed to all (except wealthy whites).
Specifically Norwegians
Damn, is Trump really in the market for a new wife already?
