I really feel like the game is buffing and buffing groups, the solo sneaky ways of killing can't compete in any way anymore.
The compass gives a way to good advantage and i personally think it's to arcady.
I don't know just an opinion, i'm not a solo but i disagree with the compass
I do agree it helps people in numbers slightly with callouts, and I dislike the addition. I don't believe its giving off a major advantage though, us solos can still be sneaky.
I already have one and am happy with it, So whether devs create one or no doesnt really matter to me,
Yeah there go the devs spoon feeding the kiddies again just to keep their interest for another month or two. They just keep stuffing more and more free stuff like maps and puzzles …..
This game is not for solo players, deal with it finally.

One more item that diverts from the hyper realism RUST started out with. That's the part that gets me the most. Minimal HUD was/is a boon of the game and a massive differentiator.
As an item? Would have loved it. As a part of the HUD? I hate it. Starting to feel like a Battlefield game more and more x'D
What realism ? , Being able to not only make weapons, craft armoured walls, tools,ammunition and respawn after getting killed ?, Is that supposed to be realistic ?. Only been playing since June 2014 so missed the realistic Zombies but
got to hunt the realistic "Rad" Bears and Wolves .
Visuals mate, visuals. The visual experience of the game is hyper realistic as opposed to playing a game like say, Unreal Tournament.
