Why would you put DRM on the Mac version, as if Mac users know how to pirate things
I think it's time for Jack TO LET 'ER REST IN PEACE
Ordinarily I'd respond with something about how Windows is garbage on multiple levels and how macOS has a large UNIX community, but Apple definitely gives a lot more of a shit about the people you're talking about, so you win this time
GOG release when :V
And another one bites the dust.
They're all going to die when openGL support drops
DRM is retarded lmao
So I assume they're giving everyone that bought this refunds, right? Right?
200iq developers Don't even waste the time removing DRM, when apple will remove your ability to play entirely
DRM is almost entirely pointless once the game's been out for several months.
And then the people the DRM is supposed to stop will either already have pirated the game or found another game they could play all the while legitamate customers will now be unable to play the game completely rendering the DRM useless and a waste of money in the first place.
Very true, Apple is doing a great job destroying what small game market they had on their own
I've never understood why developers don't remove DRM, say, a month after a game has been fully cracked.

Do they watch Rick & Morty?
I didn't even know this game got a Mac port. Considering how hesitant they were towards just a PC port I wouldn't have expected them to even consider Mac.
tbf as long as you use exclusively cross-platform APIs (e.g. OpenGL, OpenAL, etc, which a lot of games use anyway) building for both Windows and Mac is very easy
I have a suspicion that this is because a pirated copy wouldn't be able to report the data they ask you to consent to when you open the game
This post is 100% accurate, what's with the box fort
Probably because I responded to an obvious joke with a serious defense of Mac users lol. Combine that with calling Windows garbage and people assume I'm a blind macfag It's become frankly impossible to justify defending Apple at this point unfortunately. I use macOS because it's a UNIX OS with commercial software and industry support, but Apple seems hellbent on isolating their platform from everything else. It's especially disappointing because they're basically handing a number of their current markets to Microsoft (their only actual competitor) on a silver platter.
To be fair, OpenGL is gonna stay for a long time, considering Apple track record with "deprecation" of macOS features. A lot of Java APIs and some Darwin system calls were deprecated back in 10.3, but they can still be used even in 10.14.
Still unacceptable for them to deprecate support for the standard graphics API IMO, especially considering they're gonna replace it with a proprietary one
got a feeling apple is burning itself with its isolationism
Apple only gets away with shit like Metal because they have such tight control over third party software devs. I really hate it. They should have contributed code to Vulkan to optimize it for macOS and iOS hardware instead of creating their own dipshit low-level API. DirectX is enough, we don't need a second proprietary API floating around.
They've been trying to for years.
While this is true, it might ultimately end up being a good thing. We already have Molten to support Vulkan running over Metal. The community will surely make something similar for OpenGL, and it probably won't even take much of a performance hit. And the nice thing about a community managed driver is it'll actually get fucking updated. As of 10.14, macOS still only supports up to OpenGL 4.1.
