Unfortunately, the way things are going, China is going to become the dominant superpower within the next few years.

And if far right parties continue gaining power in Europe and the Americas, it may even be possible that Democracy as a whole will fail and be replaced by authoritarian systems.

fun fact, Taiwan was one of the founding members of the UN and was a member of the UN Security Council.

After the civil war, only the US/Australia/Japan stood with them (for the most part). Most every other country sided with the Communist PRC, and they ILLEGALLY removed Taiwan from the Security Council. No, you can't remove anyone by any means, but China convinced them to remove Taiwan from the UN entirely. Now it seems not even the US (cheeto in chief) is siding with them.
The world is headed down a very dark path, and people need to be on guard lest we repeat history.
