I understand details are probably under wraps because a minor was involved, but the article earnestly makes it sound like the game itself was the cause of death
There are a lot of elderly judges and lawyers who genuinely think this. That's why.
if you play this game you will Instantly Die
The 'Sunderland Echo'
how depressing
“This has arisen due to the fact I am conducting the inquest into the death of a 15-year-old-boy who died earlier this year. Evidence obtained suggested he had used an online game called Doki Doki.”
the whiplash i received from reading this is incredible
>Although at the very beginning the game states clearly it is ‘not suitable for children or those who are easily disturbed’, initially the characters are cute female figures, which would appeal to youngsters.
Ban cleverly written horror, even if warning labels already ruin the surprise in the name of safety!
Not to mention the warning on steam too where 99% download it from
nah the game's not the issue, if it was any other game with any ounce of violent content it would probably still be the culprit.
I gotta be honest, this game gave me mild depression. But then I got better (thanks to hentai games).
Yeah I agree the club is pretty lit. It's full of incredibly cute girls.
i'm actually impressed kids would actually even consider touching something like this, like this is hardly even a game. At least undertale has some gamelay.
Like even as a kid I don't think I ever got exposed to the animes very much and I'd still categorize them as stuff for girls.
I only got random DEMO(member those?) games from my local pc gaming related magazine. And the most japanese thing that I had was Cave Story and even that was the english translated version, and I couldn't even get far in the game until we got the internet and my mind exploded when I found out there's more than meets the eye, then proceeded to kick Ballos's ass.
With the internet being everywhere now it kinda sucks that kids would probably end up finding shit that would mess up their minds pretty hard.
I never would have expected Super Mario Brothers 2 to cause someone to commit suicide!
It's free and it made the rounds on let's plays of popular youtubers. Of course kids would play it.
Ignoring that warning and blaming the game anyway is kind of like saying "I thought the R rating meant 'Really good for kids'!"
As someone with a few issues like mild depression, obtrusive thoughts, ect, I had a difficult time sleeping the night after playing and I was getting flashbacks to a few moments that hung in my head when I was trying to go to bed for close to a week following it. I wouldn't want someone with more severe issues playing ddlc as I could see how it could affect them much worse.
Too bad the game actually warns you about disturbing content before the very beginning. If you have issues and decide to continue playing, and then hang yourself or stab yourself or whatever - that's your fault, buddy.
Regrets of not hanging out with Sayori
I was with you till the "not my problem" part. Jesus, dude.

Is it just me or does the link to the article not work?
It is up to the parents to make sure their children are not taking in restricted media. It is not up to the government or everyone else.
Isn't this enough to hit both the coroner and the tabloid with libel suits?
we appear to be suffering some doki doki panic
Panic! at the Doki
Evidence obtained that this kid had infact eaten beans
I've historically had pretty severe depression, this is one of the games I refuse to play because I know how badly it would effect me.
Still a pretty good game though apparently.
Oh I genuinely thought this was one of those joke articles
Watching people who don't know about video games talk about video games are always entertaining
