I have an Inspirion 5559 Signature Edition, with Intel i5-6200U, and with 8GB of RAM. I am extremely skeptical about it, so I would like a confirmation.
Unless you have a "gaming laptop" with a good graphics card I think you will have problems, Check to see if you can increas the amount of ram you have which might help, If the laptop depends on cpu graphics memory as well you will have more problems.
If you are running the AMD Radeon R5 M335 GPU then you should be able to run potato on 8GB memory.
If you are using integrated graphics then maybe solitaire is the game for you
