In New York’s 14th Congressional District, which includes the eastern Bronx and northern Queens, Joseph Crowley, 56, is being challenged by Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, 28, a former campaign organizer for Bernie Sanders. Mr. Crowley, who is seen as a possible replacement for Nancy Pelosi as the leader of the House Democrats, has faced an unexpectedly strong challenge from Ms. Ocasio-Cortez, who is running as a progressive.
Results are still being fully tallied, but Ocasio-Cortez is 15 points ahead at 88% of precincts in. Crowley is finished.

Crowley is the first incumbent Democrat to lose renomination since 2014, when a Massachusetts Democrat was brought down by scandal.

I wouldn't be surprised if the reason he was defeated was because he wasn't mean enough to Trump.
Crowley's taking it fairly well:
“The Trump administration is a threat to everything we stand for here in Queens and the Bronx, and if we don't win back the House this November, we will lose the nation we love,” Crowley said in a statement
Tuesday night. “This is why we must come together. We will only be able to stop Donald Trump and the Republican Congress by working together, as a united Democratic Party."
