• Enable circle jumping?

On versions of the source engine (like the one HL2DM uses) allows to get a huge burst of speed by holding W and A/D, turning your mouse in the direction you're strafing and then jumping right as you turn, it's called circle jumping. In Garry's Mod, the speed you get from this technique vs. just jumping normally seems very very small if it's even there at all. So it results in very slow speed gain when starting a bunnyhop, which feels very bad. I'm not sure why it doesn't work here (I don't know the technical side of how circle-jumping works at all, does anyone know?) but maybe it'd be possible to enable or recreate the technique with some cvars or clever Lua? I've already tried messing with sv_airaccelerate and sv_accelerate.
Strafe jumping in CS:S is caused by how speed is applied after jumping, but you would have to rewrite most of the movement system to achieve that. HL2's "strafe jumping" is actually just backwards bhopping at an angle; you can read this to see how to restore it.
To be more clear, I'm not talking about strafe jumping or bunnyhopping. I'm talking about the technique where you turn while running, which increases your ground speed, and you jump as your speed peaks: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UeCKdIddjtM This burst of speed on initial jump isn't possible by default in Garry's Mod as turning while on the ground does not increase your movement speed enough.
