Trump hammers another American business with his “easy-to-win” trade war.
"Easy-to-win", as claimed by a man who seems to have always had his definitions for winning and losing confused with each other.
The fact that 500 people represent the manufacturing force of America's largest nail manufacturer shows just how much automation is responsible for job loss and not Mexico or China
It's not that the definitions are skewed, he's just had a silver spoon in his mouth for his entire life, including the best possible chances education-wise, the smartest advisers, his dad's contacts.
The issue is that he thinks he always wins because of his amazeballs-ness, but it's just cause winning is easy if you have the upbringing and background he does. Nothing to do with his personality or hard work.
Trump has just announced that he's reached a deal with Nailcom of Russia to import all the nails we could ever need! Amazing!
Aw man, I've used their nails before. They were nice nails.
And this news also presents how important it is to consider supply chains too. It's pretty rare for manufactured product to be made from start-to-finish within one country.
And if he figures that out, how much you want to bet we get luddite legislation instead of actually trying figure out how solve the problem of automation.
He won't, and the rest of the government doesn't want to talk about automation because it's an uncomfortable subject for lobbyists. Neo-luddites are probably still at least half a decade off.
Sounds like this was the final wooden dowel in the coffin.
