This is great step, maybe soon I'll be able to vaccinate my children safely
2022: CRISPR causes autism
Correction: CRISPR causes autistic tumor based mutants.
Can this even be used on fully developed brains?
rip /pol/
I feel like this should probably only be used on fetuses before birth, or very, very young babies.

No, This biotechnology only used for editing/modifying genes. Just what before "Moral guardians" and Bio-reactionaries start accusing saying this idea as eugenics supporter in near-future.

Frankly if you have the ability to save these children from experiencing genetic diseases/imperfections that can lead to type 1 diabetes, increased chance of addiction, etc.. then it's immoral not to take the initiative and save them from that suffering. Not to mention the potential benefits of having a healthier population in the future that can work longer, require less healthcare, and overall increased happiness.
You know, even if it could, I wouldn't take it. I can't imagine this working to 'take out' the autism without changing my personality as well. I'm me. Flaws and all, autism and all. I like who I am, and I've come to terms with the downsides. I can imagine others being hindered to such an extent that they'd consider that a fair price however.
I'd get my dysgraphia cured if I could, fuck this illegible handwriting bullshit.
All it'll take is some braindead celebrity to say that vaccines actually cause [insert other thing here] and they'll just start believing that religiously to not vaccinate their kids.
But can we put autism in to someone feeling strange mr bond
Combine VR headset with CRISPR set and you can for first time view memes that legit gave you autism
weaponized autism?
Bioweaponized autism to make Autistic zombies.
Not too massively, just minority overtime it take notice few to several personality changes of genetic modified autistic person.
I dunno, I subscribe to the Speed of Dark idea that you might as well be an entirely different person at that point. BTW, if anyone is curious about autism, has autism, or wants to know about autism. please read Speed of Dark by Elizabeth Moon. It's an extremely good look at the concepts of being autistic and possibilities of treatment.

Everyone above me gets the vaccine
what about me
Wow do you actually have Dysgraphia, I've never met anyone or even heard of anyone online having it. People never believe be when I tell them my handwriting is awful because of it.
It could be used to grow a fucking pair of angel wings, lower your bone density to nothing and turn you into a freak of nature so you can fly of your own accord up until the 7 minute mark where you'll die because the remnants of the old human body doesn't know what the fuck to do with this new information and either attacks it or sits idle. But yeah once we get AI on this problem with millions of lab rats the body will become an expression of you in of itself. For me it means better communication between body and machines making cyborg science vastly easier (fuck you brain scar tissue), for furries it means no more fursuits, but most importantly I wonder what it means to you!
Finally, a cure for vaccines.
Haven't been officially diagnosed (but that's mainly because dysgraphia is not well known), I have basically all the written symptoms of it: bad spacing, inability to stay on the line, mixed upper and lower case letters. My handwriting is baaaad. And I've taken pretty extensive classes to try and improve it. I really wish there were more studies on it. Interesting, my sister has 100% diagnosed Dyslexia, but good handwriting. I have fantastic reading skills (was always super ahead of grade level, received awards, and scored top % state in reading tests), but fucking abysmal handwriting. I'd really like to be involved in research about it, since the genetic tie with my sister, and the fact that I have pretty good aiming skills on the computer, so I would like to see where in my brain the problem is.
I do everything you've mentioned there. I took my whole High-school finals exam on a computer due to being diagnosed just before it, I have a whole document from my doctor. I don't think any amount of classes or practice can fix it sadly, I went through all of that also.
Yeah, it's something that can't really be improved. I got somewhat better at using the correct case, and marginally better at staying on the line, but spacing and letter shape are all fucked up still. I was never diagnosed, but I was given a typing aid in middle school, so I typed all of my English papers on that. By highschool, most of my work was on the computer anyway, so it mostly wasn't a problem.
I haven't found much issue as any writing I do is on a computer. Forms seem to be the only thing left I struggle with (usually I get my girlfriend to do them and then I sign)
