Haha, now you kids going to kill yourself.
It has a warning at the start of the trailer literally saying it's gonna be fucked up?? It's horrible someone killed themselves over it but if they already had underlying mental issues then surely those are the actual causes? If it wasn't going to be this game then it could've been influenced by any other form of media or experience.
Fuck anime but don't blame the game for this one
you speak as if the people in charge of this know or care
"It does warn it's not suitable for children, however the graphics, etc... are clearly aimed at young people"
Nobody tell the BBC that Happy Tree Friends exists.
I haven't played the game, but I think saying the graphics are "clearly aimed at young people" is misleading given that they're just used to subvert your expectations in a similar way to HTF and Don't Hug Me I'm Scared.
Well if the cat wasn't already out of the bag, it is now.
I wonder what's the creator's thoughs on all of this
I don't even think they killed themselves over it, some dumbass PI just insinuated that it was
Seems like a fairly reasonable discussion, parents should be aware of what their children are playing, and in touch with their children enough to know if something like this is enough to be an issue.
Hell, don't tell them South Park exists either.
does the BBC really not have more pertinent things to talk about

I laughed when this happened \o/

jesus these prompts are terrible
I think there's worse things wrong with your kid than just playing some horror game if they start self-harm and commit suicide.
im sure they know, they just don’t care
when it comes to these sorts of things, news stations LOVE throwing the blame on something for the sake of having an interesting segment
If the British public has to pay taxes for the BBC the state should force them to not publish sensationalist news.
this game makes me want to commit suicide
not because of the content, but because the reaction reminded me just how fucking stupid people can be
"Just because it explicitly tells me it's not for children all over the place, that doesn't mean it's not for children"
What are you, retarded? Don't answer! It's one of them... ah... how'd you put it... rhetorical questions.
Or just like, anime and cartoons in general. Animated =/= only for kids
I can just imagine these morons sitting their kids down to watch some hentai thinking it's for kids just because it's animated.
There are many stories exactly like that.
It's one thing to be unaware of something, but it's another to not even look at the back of the DVD case and maybe put 2 and 2 together that maybe something isn't for your kid.
I'd watch hentai with my kids, because not only is it animated, but it's censored!
I once tried to explain to me mum that cartoon (animation in general) is not limited to "childish" genres. She had great difficulty comprehending the fact that it is merely a gateway and tool to storytelling and presentation, insisting that the "unrealistic" aspect of it makes them uncanny, exaggerating thus fantastical and only suitable for children. Grasping onto her only exposure and reference that is cartoons from her childhood (and mine), she stays unconvinced. I didn't bother to show her examples, to her disinterest.
Extra extra read all about it, darkweb is used for murder streaming and hiring hitmen
The opposite is actually true, the BBC has always had an agenda on certain topics, every now and again it reaches RT levels of daft and the mask slips.

If you showed this picture to someone from 3 years ago, they wouldn't believe you in the slightest
MM! A RISK TO CHILDREN, GAME IS!
