Wait Canada is allowed to have weed?
i never thought I'd see the day were "vape nashe" would become an actual thing
About last week, they legalized it nationwide. Recreational.
I've been to the place in the OP image, it's pretty cool. Nice to know they let you use bongs upstairs now, apparently it was illegal to have people smoke on the shopfloor before 5, but after it doididn't matter.
It'll be legal on Oct 17.
What happens if you don't wait till then? I mean they know it's going to be legal
Then current regulations still apply. You can be charged for posession or trafficking depending on the amount you have, and if you're growing.
I most likely won't be buying from the gov unless i'm in a pinch.
we can only hope the US sees the economic growth and decides to make a similar move
We've already seen it in some of our own states and, tbh, the results are actually pretty disappointing revenue-wise. They aren't nothing of course tho.
Isn't that because it's still illegal on a federal level and people are still being thrown in prison?
People aren't being thrown in prison, states just aren't enforcing those laws. It's just that w/ marijuana's popularity not quite exploding you can't make too much off of it, especially because demand for it is probably pretty elastic so you can't like, slap a 100% excise tax on it like w/ cigarettes. It's nice it's just not magic lol.
Weed honestly isn't even consumed at a high rate for casual users, someone might throw down a hundred or so for bulk but then they might not buy any more for months.
