The Justice Department announced Wednesday that a federal grand jury in Charlottesville charged James Alex Fields Jr. with one count of a hate crime act resulting in the death of Heather Heyer.
How long until this very fine person terrorist and murderer gets a presidential pardon?

Considering it was politically motivated, by rights he should also be brought up on terrorism charges.
No administration wants to ever have a white, american-raised, terrorist because it narrows the gap between 'the great nation of America' and 'terrorist foreigners'.
I'm not so sure if that's the case this time around. Even Jefferson Davis PT Beauregard Sessions has said he wants terrorism charges. I believe white nationalists are considered a higher threat right now by the DHS as terrorists than groups like ISIS. It just dosen't make as good as a narrative when you need a scapegoat.
Tbh, this does seem to fit the definition of terrorism. Maybe it's a difficult thing to prosecute or something though, and they decided that going for it being a first degree murder hate crime would be more achievable. Given all the evidence he is probably gonna be slammed pretty hard come sentencing regardless.
Problem right now is that the DHS itself has also been compromised if the way they've been acting according to other recent headlines is any indication, so I have my doubts as to whether they'd act on that higher threat level.
