Galleries view and SH

Here's how SH looks in a gallery view.
Most glaring issue is the lack of any images. How hard would it be make these display the embed media?

But Another thing, how possible would it be to make a more compact gallery?
If this is headlines, then we won't really need a huge image, less vertical scrolling to display a lot more headlines. Like a typical landing page for a news site
Maybe even fitting 4-6 stories on each row could be interesting, make images perhaps like less than 150px wide for snug fits
