i've made a post about the compass, wich buffs clans, some people say that rust is not a solo game, probably, but: Solo: easy to manage perfect for sneaking less fire power Clan: high fire power checks before attacking (jumpchek) possible betrayal noisy voice chat This gives solos and clans pros and cons, the compass makes callouts easier (example: enemy on 150) but clans still have to be careful who to shoot, while solos can attack straight away or act as on of the enemy's clan members if it manages to bypass the jumpchecks and the uniforms the team system completely eliminates the "cheking" before attacking, wich is the most powerful con of clans, making them an even greater force but still, with the team system solos can find a team more easily, making alliances with the neighbours, but with an even higher risk of getting betrayed since you can be easily seen from a great distance and through the walls Facepunch said that they're implementing the system but if it doesn't work they'll remove it Those are my first impressions of the system, i'll wait for the new update and test it, I'm not rejecting it alerady what do you think?
Oh yeah, Rust isn't a game made for solo/duo. You gotta play on a custom server that enforces that, the game is entirely geared towards large groups. Oh, its definitely possible, but its only if you WANT to play at a disadvantage. No more sneaking into a large zerg by stealing their clothes, or blending in to run away. Now we have magical glowy indicators and compasses to show us where our friends are! Wheeeee!
They are going to ruin the game. They say it will be beneficial for solo players but that's crap. They say if it doesn't work then they will remove it. I thought this "try it and see experimental" stuff happened in beta. They are just trying to create another CSGO. I am seriously, for the first time, thinking about stopping playing. It isn't the game it was. Everyone complains about ESP hacks and then the devs go and bring in game sanctioned ESP with a tweak, the hackers have a field day with this!!!!!!!!
They want realism guys... so they're adding green glowing dots above peoples heads so you can always see them no matter what. Smh.
Get over it 🅱
You get over us not getting over it.
There should be a way of customizing your clans clothing, similar to WoW... A small window appears and you paint smthng for your team mates, is it a shit painting? Most likely but i'd prefer that over a hovering green dot

It should be geared towards solo. Why? A huge part of the vanilla player base plays solo. Maybe more than half(only FP knows the numbers). New players also play solo. Servers usually die when the groups raid all the solo players. In components 2017 playing solo was viable. You'd get the same gear as a clan would (you'd have a fighting chance). Since scrap a good amount of the solo player base has left including myself. 4 consecutive months of declining players since leaving EA is ignored completely. Had to drop the game to the lowest it's been in years to pump back up the numbers. Where's Gary? It's obvious what's wrong, don't nerf solos. Put taxes on group upkeep and make it so you need to know the BP to use the weapon .. Fuck modded / capped servers that's not Rust. Most are pay2win and the capped ones die faster than anything. There's more players playing modded than the vanilla game, that should say a lot.
I have been advocating for an ally system. As people say Rust needs a catalyst for player interaction otherwise it's a bit KoS dull for solos. Ally system can help solos if implementation is good for keeping track of all your allies, and maybe also enemies. We tried for years to have identification work by what clothes people were wearing or how unique the players looked. It ended up sucking and relied on teamspeak and jumpchecks. We need to add a system to help identify your friends from farther away, such as seeing your friends name tags or icons from afar. This sounds like only identification which would help clans more than solos/duos. I suggest making a system to designate players as allies and enemies, and to see allies or enemies of your allies. That's a kind of community building system that might make player interactions more interesting.
I get that it's a controversial Thing to add to rust, but Personally I'd like to be able to know if someone is my freind/ally or not before I get a spear in the head, or put a spear in a freind's head, I met a few nice guys at the beginning of the month and even made freinds with a group of players who I would have loved to mark as allies. I'm not going to KOS a player just because they don't have a blue/green dot over their head, and toxic zergs are going to wheather the system is added or not. If a small group has a chance to cordinate while fighting a zerg. then I think this is needed.
I believe that the team system shouldn't be added, while clans are diffidently more powerful than solo's, the clutter and stress of a clan in a fight leaves the solo to make certain decisions that could leave them with a large amount of loot, adding the team system would eliminate this balance and give a larger buff to clans that intended, simple to put it, the team system is a bigger buff the more people you have in your clan
I'm a simple man, i like it but im only scared its gonna get abused by zergs.
