PCGamer: Left 4 Dead developer hiring for unannounced AAA game in 'globally-known franchise'

Hmm, I wonder what they're up to. Maybe it'll be on Source 2 because of their ties to Valve in the past?
HL3 outsourced
Just don't let 2k get a hold of it this time.
Given how many people they let go after the last game, no thanks.
no hype from me, i dont trust turtle rock no more
Counter-Strike: Global Offensive: Condition Zero: 2
EVOLVE 2 BABY
I am sorta hopeful for this. Evolve was a good idea, but really poor execution.
If they'd gone with their original idea and not let 2K dictate every waking moment of the game, that would probably be a thing right now.
turtle rock has pretty much nothing to do with valve anymore
im pretty sure the blame goes to 2k for that disaster. i recall reading that turtle rock hated the business model
Lost almost all interest when I saw the word AAA
Yeah, I'm pretty sure they wanted it to be either a budget game or F2P from the start, but 2K wanted a heavy hitter for that quarter.
Evolve Stage 2 was pretty good with being F2P, but then in the literally two months it was out, it didn't make enough money so 2K ended the license or contract or whatever.
Stage 2 launched in July and didn't add the ability to pay for anything with real world money until September.
Even then you could only spend money on microtransactions if you lived North America, as they hadn't worked out global purchases yet.
There was also a 10X XP and Silver Key weekend that happened in-between that time which allowed players to obtain every character and monster in the game, and max out the ranks for them, assuming they spent the whole weekend playing the game.
It's unfortunate but easy to see why 2K would cancel their contract with Turtle Rock.
