so, I've been playing gmod for about 2 years and had basically no problems. Earlier this year I was clearing some hard drive space and accidentally deleted gmod. I thought I would just re-install it but when I went to run it, It simply never started. Well it started, like there was a new blank window that popped up but it just closed after 2 seconds. here is one of the dump files.

You are crashing in the DirectX redistributable somehow.
Update your GPU drivers and completely reinstall DX9 redist ( by deleting it first, instructions can be found online )
its not that easy to just reinstall a DirectX version effectively. have any tips on how to>
Start by updating video card drivers.
Delete (or rename) d3dx9_40.dll file in your system32 AND syswow64 and then run the installed (found in gmod's folder), that sould make it install it again.
