The hyperdictions in Elite: Dangerous are some of the best cinematic experiences ever put into a game. The fact that they happen randomly, rarely, and only in certain areas of the galaxy definitely add to the atmosphere of it, too. When they first started happening 2 years ago it scared a lot of people shitless.
