I've been hunting around for some good quest mods for Fallout 4 but I've found very little. I feel like im just not looking in the right places, does anyone have any suggestions when it comes to quest mods?
There's really not that many. Off the top of my head, I can think of Maxwell's World and America Rising. Anything else I can think of, like the Nvidia lighting mod, or Ransacked Relays, are all just single-dungeon focused mods. I'm sure there's more out there, but it seems quests aren't the modders (or this games) priority. Most of the fun custom quests I've enjoyed have come from custom companions, so that's worth looking into I suppose.
I haven't really looked into companion mods because all i remember seeing are the super big tiddy anime companions with over 1000 lines of waifu voice lines. what would you suggest when it comes to companions that have good quests attached to them?
I had a decently fun time with Heather Casdin. To get the most out of her quest IIRC you have to romance her, so that sucks, but otherwise you'll get a fair amount of questing out of her. She has sort of a Nick Valentine-esque location visiting quest and a proper companion quest that's actually tied into the main plot fairly well. There's also Ellen, I've never played with Ellen but she was made by a facepuncher and has a custom quest attached so I figure I should plug it.
Tales from the commonwealth is pretty good, adds a bunch of quests.
So... there ARE some big quest mods, but... well, they are kinda dumb. Possibly extremely dumb. Fusion City Rising Outcasts and Remnants 50 Ways to Die at Dr. Nick's If you're fine with a giant city filled with scantily clad women senselessly existing out in the glowing sea, the Brotherhood of Gold (whose headquarters includes an underground spa filled with scantily clad women), and jamming Saints Row into Fallout, they'll keep you occupied for quite a while. For an extra treat, do what I did, and don't even bother installing CBBE so that Fusion City is full of burn victims.
