• Good electric burner / hot plate?

So, i live in venezuela and currently the situation with gas in our city is pretty dang bad, tldr: we wont have any gas until the goberment decides so. So im looking into buying an electric burner / hot plate, we have one alredy but its kind of useless as it keeps turning itself off every here and there and actually cooking on it takes an insanely long amount of time So i came here to look for opinions on a good electric burner to get?, Its very much going to be used daily , being able to be used for somewhat long periods of times multiple times a day and ACTUALLY HEATING PROPERLY are a few of the things im looking for, preferably it should be available on amazon since that makes things easier for shipping So far i have looked into this double plate burner https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01LX4D049/ref=ox_sc_sfl_title_1?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=A1DHA1EXUINBA6 Which seems alright but again, not knowing how quickly it can heat up stuff, if it maintains the temperature etc i wanna be sure before i go ahead and purchase one Thanks!
How many watts does the one you have right now have? The one you posted looks pretty good for the price, but 1800W for both plates may be a bit low.
The one i have right now is 1500 watts. Also its pretty dang old ( 6 years ) so im kind of afraid its going to stop working at any moment..
How's your budget? If a double plate is a must, I'd recommend this one instead since the load is higher on the larger plate: https://www.amazon.com/Cuisinart-CB-60-Cast-Iron-Double-Stainless/dp/B01JCECBNI/ref=mp_s_a_1_15?ie=UTF8&qid=1530650273&sr=8-15&pi=AC_SX236_SY340_FMwebp_QL65&keywords=Electric+stove Otherwise I'd recommend you get an induction cooktop (which also requires induction pans and pots) since they're much more efficient
a double plate isnt a must but its certainly appreciated, and that one looks pretty good, as for my budget arround 180 USD, and yeah i looked into induction cooktops but i lack induction pans and pots ( plus they are pretty much not-possible to get ) here
Most of them are based on the same tech (around 1800w) like this one: https://www.amazon.com/Duxtop-8100MC-Portable-Induction-Countertop/dp/B0045QEPYM/ And looking at the reviews they fit your needs nicely. You might want to get two of these instead of a double as they're probably cheaper individually, and often you'll find that they distribute the load poorly.
