well, that's an extreme fuck up so many people probably had personal photos/nudes of their partner leaked because of this, and that is not okay
T-Mobile just issued its RCS update this week, starting with the Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge. The messaging standard is supposed to make texting look more like chatting in a modern messaging app, complete with read receipts and typing indicators. They're just now getting this? AT&T has had it for years now.
Verizon refuses to say anything on RCS, probably because of their own proprietary 'Message+" shit.
Who wants to bet that it's an intended feature with a bug. It's REALLY supposed to send photos somewhere they want, not to your random contacts
Well best hope my phone hasn't sent any of my disk pics to my mum
keep that shit in KeepSafe my dude
Revoke Storage and Camera access to the Messenger app and it can't send (recommended workaround by Samsung). Or use something other than samsungs messanger app for texts.
I read the article and I can't seem to find the relevant info I want, but is it only devices on T-Mobile and/or only S7/S7 Edges? I'm on AT&T with a Note 5 and this is doing me a real fear.
oh no i better check my messages
reminds me of when Apple's iMessage encoding hash table had collisions, causing people's photos to appear on random people's camera rolls weird to think some random goober in Cambodia might've seen my meat
I had some random guy start texting me saying in spanish that "now that he's seen me, we're connected" and some rando either romantic or creepy or both comments, also in spanish. Also tried calling me, a lot. Been lowkey worried some MS-13 dude was going to roll up and merc me but maybe some guy just really liked my dick pic.
