Someone please invade trumps head with a closed fist.
I do think there are things we could do to make the situation better, as the crisis has an impact here in terms of immigration and drugs/etc. Destabilized regions close to home is never desired. I just don't think destabilizing them even more through war is going to help at all. You'd probably be better off working with Mexico and other countries to fight cartels with military/police action but Trump has ruined our relationship with Mexico. Trying to topple Marudo directly would be tough, and I fear would serve to open up a new can of worms and make the whole situation worse.
the OAS would actually have an issue with this, the US actually does have to abide by its decisions
but at least we didnt get war hawk KROOKED KILLARY KLINTON
"Fuck you, I do what I want." -Trump, effectively if not literally
Whoa, I thought Iran was #1 on Trump's hit list??
That's Bolton's hit list.
Trump doesn't have a list so much as an aimless wandering attention span that doesn't have the logical restrictions you or I have that make us think "well, no, you just can't invade a sovereign nation if you feel like it".
Venezuela:
Brown people
Oil rich
3rd world
"Communist"
🤔
Christ on a stick, I hate Trump and everyone who still supports him so fucking much...
I think it's time for the UK to take back it's colony. I'm afraid we don't allow for tyrants.
So fighting a bunch of back-water commies that currently are incapable of keeping their military together would be a worthwhile use of US Military resources.... How 'bout we instead get in contact with the Mexican government and begin a more direct intervention in the drug war.
As much as I agree with the last part the situation in Venezuela is a tad more complicated than badly organized jungle communists.
All that's left is for them to be Muslim and you've got the perfect way to harvest far-right mouth foam
The situation in Venezuela is a shitfest, but it doesn't immediatly concern us. Our intervention in their current issues would be a bad idea. We need to get the entirety of the OAS on board, and that's probably never gonna happen.
You would think the Iraq War would be enough evidence that this is a fundamentally awful idea - but sadly, a lot of conservatives still think Bush's oil war was justified. Worse, if they see any faults with how it played out, they are generally along the lines of "why didn't we just get in there, blow all the terrorists up, take our booty, and leave." No joke: I have actually seen this reasoning in "respectable" conservative publications.
I maybe don't know about this idea could happen with her personality is kinda similar to Trump when comes like this one, but more cryptically than Trump.
That gotta be very unrealistic by this point with if this happens.
...are you serious?
Which one, Make you curious?
I'm pretty sure both posts you replied to were making an hyperbole.
No, I'm not dude.
Just wandering how that above one sound could be possible but just similar anyway and below is just how this idea is unrealistic or not work if US (with over 60 million people of UK population) will be liking being annexed by smaller country like UK.
France will be joining us and we can fight over the greener scraps. Just like the good old days.
SAS are better than your silly little baby seals so I'm pretty sure the whole thing will be over in time for Christmas, where you will all be spending the evening eating tea and crumpets.
Despite how monumentally stupid it would be to invade Venezuela right now, I still think the US needs to intervene in some way because of their commitment to this:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Responsibility_to_protect
We also committed to ensuring that we would accept all people seeking Asylum in our country by an international accords written by the UN which we signed. We committed to ensuring we did not introduce any barriers or criminal laws which would punish or discourage asylees from seeking refuge. We also withdrew from the Human Rights coalition.
We are giving all the signs right now that we don't intend to honor any of our UN commitments if they inconvenience Trump's agenda.
And this is why the sooner Trump is out of office, the better.
... Why?
the backstory of cyberpunk 2020 is getting closer and closer to realization, if a bit later than anticipated
Y'all need to get that brexit nonsense reversed first.
FTFY.
