The fact that they played a real tabletop game for that battle makes it even better, I can just imagine Kaldor's utter failure at the table.
The thing that always gets me about this series is that for literal decades GW refused to advance the plot of 40k at all, so some cheeky gits with a bit of popularity with their parody decide to do it themselves. Just as they're really getting into it, GW finally advances the 40k plot.
Maybe they got inspired by his work and then decided to pretend that they felt like doing it themselves independently.
I'm not exactly sure what the fuck happened in that ending
the Emperor engineered his theorized rebirth by using Karamazov as a vessel for his soul i think?
