I remember this dude had like 1K klein bottles in his crawlspace.
He sells them, so he's got a lot of them stocked up under his house, with robots he can use to fetch them https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-k3mVnRlQLU
This dude is wonderfully eccentric about his fuckin' bottles and it's adorable and awesome. I wish I cared about anything just half as much as he cares about fuckin' one-sided glass-tubes.
Very basically it's a bottle where you if you were to walk on it you'd be able to go in and out of it without crossing any edges
Klein bottles are so cool. They're basically a tube, I love listening to this guy talk about topology.
I binge watched a whole bunch of videos about Klein bottles once and now I'm fucking sick of them
A surface shaped like a bottle with only 1 side and the inside being its outside. An extra dimension is required for a real Klein bottle, the thumbnail in the video is the closest representation of what it is with our limitations. As Inaba said if you move a finger along the surface you would eventually end up covering the surface from both directions. It is easier to imagine if you do the same with a Mobius string.
If you have some spare time, consider watching his Ted talk, if you haven't already. 17 minutes of wounderful eccentric gushing of an amazing and slightly chaotic mind. https://youtu.be/Gj8IA6xOpSk
