Looks pretty close to Boston Dynamic's Spotmini, does all of this without any cameras
It's a pretty big deal that this thing is blind, I wouldn't call it a "spot mini knockoff"
When is the Aurelnauts parody
Boston Dynamics started from MIT researchers, although it was called the Leg Lab back then. I don't know for certain but the MIT Biomimetics Robotics lab is probably the spiritual successor to the lab that spun off Boston Dynamics.
how long before we can fuck it
Oh now they're bullying a blind robot? The robot uprising can't come soon enough.
No, look at those graceful pronks.
How long before we can pat it on the head?
The reversible legs and the table jump at the end were the most impressive in the video.
I wonder how they tracked where to jump without a camera or location system, maybe Cheetah was pre-placed and set to do a jump motion with so much height and then used it's algorithm to normalize it's legs when the back ones came in contact with the table, just a thought.
Also, I feel like Spot mini wouldn't accidentally stomp my feet over and over going up the stairs thanks to it's camera.
