U.N., EUROPE URGE ISRAEL NOT TO DEMOLISH KHAN AL-AHMAR

The United Nations, the European Union and some of its member states demanded that Israel halt is plans to demolish the West Bank Palestinian Bedouin herding village of Khan al-Ahmar.
The EU said late Wednesday night that Israel’s settlement policy is illegal under international law, and so are actions taken in that context against Palestinians, such as forced transfers, evictions, demolitions and confiscations of homes.
The village houses several dozen families from the Bedouin clan of Jahalin, who moved there after their expulsion from the Negev in the 1950s.
This is not only a human injustice, Odeh said, but a political maneuver by the government to sever and dismantle the Arab settlements in C areas, and to expand the Israeli settlement blocs, "thus preventing any chance for a Palestinian state and peace."
Eleven people were arrested after throwing stones Wednesday in Khan al-Ahmar. Dozens of Palestinian were wounded, according to the Red Crescent. Four were taken to the hospital, and three police officers were lightly wounded, one of whom received medical care on the scene.
Representatives of Israel's Civil Administration hung notices around Khan al-Ahmar in the West Bank on Tuesday evening, warning the village's inhabitants of their impending expulsion. By Wednesday morning there were bulldozers on the scene and clashes broke out.
The expulsion of several dozen Bedouin families from Khan al-Ahmar is seen as enabling future expansion of the settlement of Kfar Adumim.

I hope Bibi ends with a bullet in his gut.
But guys, this is not Israel's fault, they're just defending themselves! Israel is the victim here!!

At least the EU has the stones to stand up to Israel's apartheid, colonial-era bullshit.
so when the israeli settlers build illegal villages, the villages should be destroyed but when Bedouin do it it's ok? For people calling this an attack against Palestinians, the Bedouin are not Palestinian, actively deny that they are Palestinian, are not involved in the Palestinian government at all, are one of the only Arab populations that serve in the IDF, and were actively involved against Palestinian groups when the Palestinians tried to stage a coup against the King of Jordan. Identifying them as Palestinian is ignorant at best, malicious at worst.
Abso-fucking-lutely. Last I checked, the country of Palestine, not Israel, had the right to deem whether that village was or was not illegal. It's not on Israel's land.
lmao what are the oslo accords, area C is civilly administered by Israel. Israel has the right to deem the village illegal
Israel and Palestine have both violated the terms of the Oslo accords whenever it was convenient to them. They hardly apply anymore. Not a surprise, really. "Give us control of your land and we'll stop killing you" is hardly a good basis for an agreement to begin with.
thats not how oslo worked, your argument is shit
let me spoonfeed you an argument since you clearly dont know any stuff about the conflict, why is it that Arabs seem to have a hard time getting building permits in the West Bank?
And the same way Israel to brush their crime under the carpet as 'old stories'.
Verry saddening to see how the actual illegal settlers are accusing original settlers as illegal settlers.
not a goddamn thing matters but the families living on that land and the lives built around it
it isn't being "taken" or "taken back" for any greater good
