• Would you like to see less KoS in Rust? Poll

Before I decide if it is worth discussing some ideas, I want to know how many people care. THE POLL Also feel free to leave more detailed answer here.
Now that we have this awesome team system you can look for other roleplayers and ally with them! So far 3/4 of your posts have been about KoS, constantly crying here and waiting for a change that may never happen is not ideal. You better start practicing and next time when someone tries to KoS you (that's how the game works btw),you can maybe come up on top and steal all the precious loot that the bow guy had.
I like it the way it is. Why? Because you can (and I do) control how much KOS there is. I always give people a chance. If they KOS me - I ask them if they want to be friendly or continue fighting, in which case I threaten to raid them. Some players will cease and become allied/friendly, some will tell you to F***k off, at which point you proceed to offline them. EZgame. Also if you want less KOS - go play Ark... its grindy as hell, because there is more PVE and less KOS... and because players are too focused and distracted by PVE things, like raising/breeding Dinos and building a no-upkeep base for 2 month straight. (you can also play some modded PVE server), but official vanilla is beautiful the way it is. KOS has its merits and its beauty. It makes Rust hard(er), but also makes Rust exciting. Especialy once you learn how to "control" the KOS and not KOS everyone yourself. Another example - usually halfway towards the end of the wipe, once I raided and had my fill of "killing" I start helping out random noobs who just start on the server... give out free starter bases, resources and metal tools. Maybe even some scrap if I have extra to spare. Of course that depends on how smart/polite the people are.... if some naked idiot tries to rush me with a rock/spear/bow - he will get instantly KOS'ed and repeated attempts will get him raided...
I used to do that till I realised that they were only using the materials to give them a better chance to raid me, Its a survival game, So they either survive or die , I give one warning shot and if ignored , bye bye
ye that works, like I've said - to each his own. You can definitely control how you play your game and how you affect other players and their game-play.
Absolutely too early to tell, but 50-50 so far. Team system, remains to see if it works. If it works at all, the meta didn't adapt yet. First day after wipe playing on a 250 people server was pretty horrible. It's like there was not a spot on a server without multiple KoS within a tree hit hearing distance and none of those "neighbors" were interested in talking. Of course my posts are about KoS, I love the game, and I just want to tone down the tension of it, it's too much for me. I like to build secure bases, and go out into dangerous environment. But sneaking out of my own CONSTANTLY expecting a very probable shot in the back is not for me. I think playing on a server that has 60-100 players instead of 250 would help, and finding a base location with better vision.. But still in general there are things that could deepen the game while making it less about killing everything that moves. I predict that semi-persistent games like Rust will be the next big thing, almost as big as Battle Royale is, but it will happen only when these games will strike the right balance between casual and hardcore. There will come out WoW of this genre at some point. And in case you would say something about mods, none of Rust mods address these issues yet. Some kind of consequence systems is necessary to organically reduce KoS. Some player-driven law enforcement, or bounty system, reputation system, or some karma system that actually works. I do think that about 50% of the players would really appreciate change in that direction.
Less KoS? Not in this game you wont. Community is too poisoned to the point of no return. Take the beating like a man, and move on.
*spits out tooth* damn straight got another bone knife i could borrow?! lmao
