Ermm, pretty sure pvc will soften at that temp and just go flaccid.
The black ABS sewer pipe is capable of higher temps than PVC, give that a try and let us know how well it works when you stick it up to a 1500f catalytic converter
ABS sewer pipe makes for decent intake piping though if you want to make something from a hardware store.
