I got really nervous when the guy started strolling across the frame
Why was the camera pointing that way to begin with?
they might have known that their area was susceptible to lightning strikes and wanted to cover for home insurance
The guy's fucking reaction is more startling than the lightning strike. WUAHAHHHHHHHHHHHH
He just filming the lighting really I did it all times up in the Sierra Nevada with my dad We once saw a bolt of lightning caused by brush fire then we drove right up to it
It looks like planting the pine tree there specifically for a lightning strike and filming it for a 100 years daily has paid off perfectly.
I got super confused when they started speaking Quebequer French. Also thought it was recent because we had violent storms alerts this week. Still pretty cool to see. That poor pine just got blasted into shreds.
That picnic table sitting right next to the tree just instantly flattened. Imagine if someone was sitting there.
Is cursing in English just more satisfying than french?
At least they have wood to fix their roof now
Don't forget you can set the video speed to .25 for slow motion. It's pretty dramatic.
I suppose I haven't seen that many videos of lightning hitting things this clearly. Maybe that's why I think lightning just sets things on fire but nope, it fucking explodes them.
That dude walking past the tree was really lucky, kinda scary knowing he was about 20 seconds off from being RIGHT NEXT to the tree as it fucking exploded like that.
iirc trees do that when struck because the lighting super heats the moisture in the tree which causes it to expand blasting the tree apart.
Man that house got wrecked hard
Quebequers use both at any time. There is a lot of English words we French Canadians use, altho sometimes modified to fit a French narrative. Our French has its own type of unique slurs that can mixed with English curses as well because Quebequers are a kind that sometimes, just don't give a fuck when they speak. For better or worse really.
I have doubts about this being real
you weren't kidding, the screams goes on for way too long
Or maybe they're interested in storms and decided to record it in case they caught something? I've done that before, though I've never captured anything worthwhile.
I can imagine there's some people that film every time there's lightning. Just in case it strikes close.
